What Is Depression?

Thoughts of "gloom and doom" with a sense of a "black cloud" and heaviness are some of the common symptoms of depression as well as sleeping a lot, poor hygiene, difficulty initiating daily  tasks, lack of motivation, isolating, and at times, not leaving home for weeks.

There are many reasons why people come to therapy. Sometimes it is to deal with long-standing issues, other times it's  in response to unexpected changes in one's life or to develop better relationships. Many seek advice as they pursue their own personal exploration and growth. Working with a therapist can help provide insight, support, and strategies for all types of life challenges.
